Established in May 2003, JK Design Services is a trading name of Galaxy Consulting Ltd which is wholly owned by
husband and wife team Terry and Jan.
technical expertise
Technical Consultant Terry has more than 20 years experience in IT solutions providing from single bespoke software packages
for small business to full multimedia solutions for large corporations and all stops in between. Terry provides
the technical knowledge base for the team and is responsible for the provision of back-office systems.

design flair
Design Consultant Jan has a background in Graphic Design and over 17 years in IT solutions providing for medium sized
companies. This background gives Jan the unique perspective of designing something which not only looks good but
which functions effectively too. Jan provides not only the creative aspect but also does the analysis for both sides of the
business.
why the business came about
Terry and Jan started the company in response to family and friends, in business for themselves, commenting on the
extortionate quotes for creating web sites from the large, well advertised, agencies. These quotes were well outside the
budget of most small and startup companies. Although there are a myriad of small web design companies offering web
sites at more realistic prices Terry and Jan felt that mostly their background wasn't up to scratch and their expertise
often rested in either the Graphic industry OR the IT industry. Terry and Jan have the unique perspective
of being able to clearly see both sides of the web design equation.
totally professional
Having worked for larger companies Terry and Jan both realised that their overall professional approach and friendly
disposition would only help when dealing with small business, and of course being a small business themselves doesn't
hurt either.
team work
Terry and Jan work effectively as a team, which any of their customers will agree with whole heartedly.
They play well as a team too with outside interests shared and a sense of the unusual. The official company
advertising vehicle, pictured here, is just a small insight into their unusual tastes and creative minds.
